This program is designed for Christian couples and for counselors, pastors, educators, and committed community members in churches who wish to facilitate couples in classes. The purpose is to invite couples to experience the healing spirit of Christ in their relationship, requiring us to empty ourselves of judgment and investigate our own holes and imperfections in order to become more loving, faithful people. Couplehood offers an intimate picture of the void between us and God and that glorious passage back to reconciliation and healing.

We were created to be in relationship. This premise is clear in many faith traditions from the creation of Adam and Eve in Judaic and Christian teachings to the primary forces of yin-yang in Confucianism to the biune truth of Shiva-Shakti in Hinduism. The purpose of the program is to invite couples to achieve harmony, experience healing, and manifest their authentic spiritual selves within their relationship.

From the love story detailed in Song of Songs to the wedding customs that hark back to God’s revelation at Sinai, marriage is used throughout both the Written and Oral Torah as a metaphor for the relationship between God and the Jewish people. There is no greater human relationship that provides us the opportunity to be holy than that of a husband and wife. Healing begins at home, the spiritual container for doing the work of God. The purpose of this program is to invite couples to experience the healing spirit of God in their relationship in order to call us into wholeness as human beings.
